  • 11.a Please verify with your current employer’s HR/Government Relations office or through the Qiwa (Ministry of Human Resources) platform.

In Qiwa: Log into Qiwa Platform using your Absher/Nafath credentials, navigating to Employment Contract → Job Mobility, and checking if the “Change Employer” or “Job Transfer Request” option is available; if it appears, the Iqama is generally transferable, otherwise please confirm with your employer’s HR or Government Relations office.

As a quick rule of thumb, if the sponsor name on the Iqama includes a ministry or military command, a transfer is unlikely and exit/re-visa processing may be required, while private company sponsors are more likely to allow transfer, which can significantly shorten transition timelines.
